'Humanity Within Divinity'

My concept 'Humanity within Divinity' will make a viewer look at the man, rather than the god Krishna is symbolized as. I will try to depict Krishna in a humane mood, bringing out emotion with a touch of divinity.Krishna has always been depicted playing his flute, smiling, giving a joyful and rejoicing feeling. Here I will be trying to show him using his flute, with the music adding to his brooding state of mind, building on his mysterious and enigmatic personality.

Maps in maya plus hair.

So finally I have brought everything from Zbrush to Maya. I wasted the whole weekend in trying to get the hair to move with the mesh, finally figuring out why it wasn't doing that today morning. Anyway have got all the displacement maps from Zbrush to Maya, and have got it all running well. Now will finishing the skinning tomorrow and start then start with the background.

Finally, the character modeling seems to be over. Will start doing the UV's tomorrow. Hopefully should be done in a day! Once that gets over, its on the rigging and posing it in maya! :D

Cloth day 2 now.

Finished making the high resolution rudraksha, his knot on the moli, plus his basemesh for Dhoti. Have also started sculpting the dhoti now. Its turning out much better than I thought it would frankly. The character is getting somewhere and I am quite happy about that! :)

So I'v finished modeling his necklace, if it can be called that, and the moli on his hand. need to think of how to create a knot now. After that will start with rudraksh mala on his hand and his earrings. Hopefully these things get done by Friday, and I can start modeling his Dhoti on the weekend.

Hair Day 3

I have almost reached the end stage for blocking in the hair. It's taking much more time than I thought. But I am happy to see where this is leading up. Tomorrow have to finish eyelashes and rest of the hair. Then on to Clothes and accessories.

Hair Day 2

And here we go. Yesterdays research paid off I think. Hopefully this will turn out good. So have sculpted the form of where I want my hair to go. And adding fibermesh in parts to make it look as one big bun. This will be the most challenging part as far as hair is concerned. Rest should be relatively easier. Have got the hair started. Should be done tomorrow. Then on to storyboarding and making accessories.

Hair Day 1

So I am now trying to create hair. Spent the day researching on how to make the bun on his head, and then how to make his hair fly to make it look natural. Need to figure out how to connect mesh with his hair, so that it constraints it while flies with the hair.

Almost done with the sculpt now.

So the sculpt is almost done. Will probably start either with the blocking in of the hair or the accessories from tomorrow. Just need to put some more details in, like the wrinkles and the skin pores

Almost done with the sculpt now. Just the detailing in the hands and feet is left.Oh and the face also. Then will be the skin pores and little finishing of the sculpt! Sculpt should be done in this week. next week probably will go to build the accessories and the hair!

Zbrush Started folks!

Hello there. I kind of forgot to post stuff on my blog. Doesn't mean I am not working eh. So to update, I finished my base mesh in Maya, got it in Zbrush, and a fair amount of work done on the face and the torso. Will be finishing the torso tomorrow and starting with the hands. Will come back on the face at the end I am guessing.

Finally reaching somewhere close! Although now I think it's too bright. I might change the overall colour once I am done painting everything. Highlights are done. Background is in process. Tomorrow the main things to do are the lake and the rain. And maybe repair the right foot.

Day 4 is done. Bit happy with my progress. Think I am reaching the final stage now. Got busy for more than half a day with classes and some random work. So just got 4 hours of the day to work on this. Should be done tomorrow. All deadlines have been blown apart already :)
