'Humanity Within Divinity'

My concept 'Humanity within Divinity' will make a viewer look at the man, rather than the god Krishna is symbolized as. I will try to depict Krishna in a humane mood, bringing out emotion with a touch of divinity.Krishna has always been depicted playing his flute, smiling, giving a joyful and rejoicing feeling. Here I will be trying to show him using his flute, with the music adding to his brooding state of mind, building on his mysterious and enigmatic personality.

Finally finished my concept art. Took crazy amount of time I think. Hopefully it is worth it. Tomorrow model sheet! MAYBE! :D

WIP Day 5 of Krishna Conceptual Illustration

Finally reaching somewhere close! Although now I think it's too bright. I might change the overall colour once I am done painting everything. Highlights are done. Background is in process. Tomorrow the main things to do are the lake and the rain. And maybe repair the right foot.

WIP Day 4 of Krishna Conceptual Illustration

Hello all the ghosts who never see my blog.
Day 4 is done. Bit happy with my progress. Think I am reaching the final stage now. Got busy for more than half a day with classes and some random work. So just got 4 hours of the day to work on this. Should be done tomorrow. All deadlines have been blown apart already :)

WIP Day 3 of Krishna Conceptual Illustration

Day 3 for the Krishna illustration. Fair to say I wasted a lot of time on the weekend. Ideally I should have finished this by now. Going too slow on this. Have almost reached the final part of the highlights. Shadow in the hair is still left though.

WIP Day 2 of Krishna Conceptual Illustration

Like always have got a bit slow and lazy on the weekend. Calling it a day for this right now. Still not sure as to how much time I should give this. Deadline is tomorrow to finish this rough conceptual illustration as per my schedule. Maybe will need to drag in the Monday also. Or maybe leave it at a decent level tomorrow.

WIP for Krishna conceptual illustration

Started on the coloring of my character, Krishna, to have this as a reference to show for my pre-production, and also a reference when I start my texturing in 3D.

Character Design, Final sketch of the pose for Krishna

Finished my final drawing for the pose I was thinking of for Krishna. A fair bit of detailing is done in this, but a lot of things like the symbols of Hinduism and stuff aren't done. I am still confused if I should add any gold jewelry to him or not. I am biased towards keeping him one with nature and hence am prefer not to add. Maybe the earrings. Will probably take it to photoshop tomorrow and do a rough colored version of the same.

Character Design Day 1

Been away for a week. Wanted to take a break before starting on my major project. Finished my first draft of proposal, and have started on character design plus the pose for Krishna. I am thinking of first getting the pose going, and then will have a nice model sheet done to model him. This is a rough sketch of what I am thinking of.

Tutorials for Polypainting.

Still not going to jump into the project. I am thinking of taking the first week slow and go through a lot of tutorials so as to not get stuck when I am into it. Just like what I did for my peacock. So today am going for some tutorials on polypainting skin. Found a great bunch of tutorials which I am reposting here.

Starting with the project today!

So here we go. Today is the first day. Thought will start with something fun. So was trying to find some references for the dhoti Krishna will adorn. Here is a fun way to go about it -

Peehu - 3D Model of an Indian peacock

I finished the peacocks which will be in my scene in my minor project here. On to the main character now.
